As the head of the bookkeeping department for the Visiting Nurses Association of Albany, NY, Sylvia had a sharp mind for numbers and a solid understanding of the healthcare system—enough to be dangerous.
Like many in their mid-sixties, Sylvia was eagerly anticipating her retirement. She was ready to enjoy the fruits of her labor after years of hard work.
But as her big day approached, she found herself facing one of the most daunting tasks of all: navigating Medicare.
